- The straw and the remaining grain is taken off the drum by the heater 9 and guided over the beater cancave 10 between the rotary separator 11 and its concave 12 to the rotor 13 (TF Series only) where the material flow is divided into two, making a full (reund) turn between the rotor and rotor concave 14, or is thrown onto the straw walkers (TX Series combines). 0n the way, the last kernels are separated from the straw. Finally the straw is thrown out of the combine by the discharge bearers 15 (TF Series combines) or the straw walkers (TX Series combines).
- The grain, chaff and pieces of straw that fall through the concaves on the grain pan 8 are sorted by weight during their reciprocating travel rearwards. At the end of the grain pan, the presorted material falls through the finger grate 16, passing wind slit 17, where chaff is blown over the sieves Out of the combine (onto the front sieve 18 allowing the clean grain to fall through – TF Series combines) and onto the small grain pan 19, and is then transported to the front of the bottom sieve 20.
- The grain and chaff are transported rearwards on the front sieve and some grain is separated from the chaff (TF Series combines). Grain and chaff fall through a second finger grate 21, onto the front of the top sieve 22, passing wind slit 23, where chaff is blown over the sieve out of the combine.
- The grain and chaff coming on the top sieve float rearwards on an air cushion. The wind blows the chaff and pieces of straw out of the combine, whereas the grain and unthreshed ears fall onto the bottom sieve 20. Clean grain falls through the bottom sieve and is transported by the clean grain auger 24, elevator 25 and bubble-up auger 26 to the grain tank 27.
- The unthreshed ears are transported rearwards, fall down at the rear of the sieve and are transported by auger 28 to the roto-thresher (TX Series combines), or retreshers (TF Series combines), and by auger 29 to the cxpellers 30 which throw the material on the grain pan, distributing it evenly.
