Foreword:
This operating manual has been compiled for the operator and for the
maintenance personnel concerned with the diesel engine It includes descriptions for:
– Technical Data
– Safety requirements
– Service and operation
– Maintenance
The operating manual must be read thoroughly before initial start-up and at regular intervals
thereafter, by all personnel contracted to work on/with the diesel engine, and must be strictly
adhered to.
Tasks either with or on the diesel engine include for example:
– Operation , care, disposal of fuels and consumables
– Repair , including maintenance and inspection.
This simplifies training of the operator for the diesel engine and prevents malfunctions
due to unprofessional operation.
We hope that you will understand that all warranty claims resulted from unprofessional
operation, inadequate maintenance, utilisation of impermis- sible fuels or negligence of the
safety guidelines, will not be recognised b us.
LIEBHERR will annul any obligations concerning claims recieved by LIEBHERR and/or
their dealers, including guarantees, service orders, etc. without notice, should any spare
parts other than original LIEBHERR parts or parts purchased by LIEBHERR be used to carry out
maintenance or repair tasks.
Under extreme conditions, it is possible that maintenance must be carried out more
regularly than specified in the inspection plan.

specified in the documentation included, remains reserved.
