The pilot pressure pump supplies oil to the valve group made up of the filter, two pressure-maintaining check valves, pressure-limiting valve and nitrogen accumulator on the port S for emergency lowering of the equipment. Via the port A the pilot pressure is applied to the valve group in the undercarriage, solenoid valves and another nitrogen accumulator at the port M. With the combustion engine running the pilot pressure gets to the variable displacement twin pump via the port A3 setting both the pumps in direction to the minimum flow rate Qmin, but not to zero flow.
- Both the main pumps are supplied with low pilot pressure from the proportional valves Y241 and Y242 via the ports X1. This pressure strokes the pumps that far that the pumps let an idle oil flow circulating through the main valve. The proportional valve Y10 converts the maximum regulating current output by the PCS-box into maximum regulating pressure to be supplied to both the mechanical pump regulators through the port X3. This regulating pressure reduces the power consumption of the pumps 1 and 2.
- The solenoid valve Y113, while de-energised, blocks the supply of pilot pressure to the swing pump and main valve. The solenoid valve Y113 gets energised only when the safety lever has been lowered down and a working operation initiated. The pressure switch S113.4 monitors the pilot pressure, which is supplied, respectively, cut off according to the position of the solenoid valve.
- The solenoid valve Y35, when de-energised, lets the pilot pressure drain from the multi-disk brake inside the swing gearbox to get the brake engaged by spring force. When energising the solenoid valve Y35, pilot pressure is supplied to the multi-disk brake to disengage that brake.
- The solenoid valve Y290, while de-energised, blocks the pilot pressure supply to the main valve for travelling. The solenoid valve Y290 switches only when the travel pedal gets kicked down. The pressure switch S290 monitors the pilot pressure, which is supplied, respectively, cut off according to the position of the solenoid valve. The solenoid valve Y63, when energised, supplies pilot pressure to the power boost stage of the primary valves. The relief pressure of the valves is increased and the excavator is able working more powerfully with power boost or power assist.
