General information:
Read the Use and Maintenance instruction manual carefully before starting the tractor and before carrying out any servicing, refuelling or other operations. Read carefully the explanations given for each safety plate on the tractor before starting the tractor and before carrying out any servicing, refuelling or other operations.
- It is essential that all operators who use the tractor understand the precise meaning of all the safety notices. This will significantly reduce the risk of accident and personal injury. Do not allow unauthorised persons to repair or service the tractor. Do not wear rings, wristwatches, jewellery, or any loose or dangling clothing, such as neckties, scarves, unbuttoned or unzipped jackets, that could get caught in the moving parts of the tractor.
- We recommend that you use approved protective clothing, for example: hard hat, shoes with non-slip soles, gloves, ear defenders, safety goggles, reflective jackets and respiratory protection when required. Ask your employer about the safety regulations and safety equipment. To reduce the risk of tripping or slipping, keep the operator station, the access steps, the handrails and the grab handles clean and free of foreign objects or traces of grease, oil, mud and snow at all times. Clean any mud or grease from the soles of your shoes before using the tractor.
- Do not jump on to or down from the tractor. Keep either both hands and one foot or both feet and one hand on the steps and handrails at all times. Do not use the controls or hoses as handholds: these components are not fixed and do not provide stable support. Moreover, accidental operation of a control could cause the tractor or implement to move.
- Never attempt to operate the tractor or use the attached implements from any position other than seated in the driving seat. In all circumstances, keep your head, body, limbs, hands and feet inside the driving compartment to avoid the risk of injury. Watch out for slippy access steps, handles and handrails, as well as slippy ground conditions around the tractor.
- Always wear safety boots or shoes with soles made from non-slip material. Wait until the tractor has come to complete stop before dismounting. Do not exceed the tractor’s lifting capacity.
