   FOREWORD:

• This manual is a service manual for Type A3L series automatic transmission.
• Based on the hitherto-employed Type A3LA transmission, Type A3L series automatic transmission has incorporated some changes in specifications, such as changes in the planetary gear ratio and sharing differential center in common with the manual transmission. (For details of changes, refer to the Technical Information.)
• All information used in this manual was in effect at the time when printed.
• However, the specifications and procedures may be revised owing to continuing improvements in the design without advance notice and without incurring any obligation to us.
